My last Newsletter for 2024 is now out. It includes information about the importance of nineteenth-century ship board diaries, a diary from the ship 'Stag', the role of Canadian ship yards in producing fast large ships in mid nineteenth century (with ships 'Beejapore', 'Marco Polo', 'Wanata' & 'Bourneuf' as examples), the story of the ship 'Erebus' & how it became famous, a story about sailing 750 miles in an open boat to rescue those involved in the wreck of the 'Porpoise'.
